Within the joint project “Festivals of Live Cinema”, PAF and Screen City festival carry out a unique original audio-visual programme which geographically and socially responds to particular towns in the Czech Republic and Norway. The first big part of the programme with the subtitle Labour in Between will take place in mid-October in Stavanger.
The presentation of site specific “live cinema” work originally prepared for the project will socially connect different spaces such as cinemas, galleries, clubs and mostly public spaces of the towns. The festival/biennale Screen City is focused on the moving image presented in public spaces, on town facades, in shop windows and other busy places in the scenic seaside town of Stavanger. Screen City 2013.
Thanks to PAF, selected artists will present their brand new work produced as part of the Czech-Norwegian collaboration. They will do so from October 15 to October 18 2015 in Stavanger, Norway. Among the selected artists are Ján Šicko, Jonatán Pastirčák, Dan Gregor, Michal Pustějovský, Martin Blažíček, Tomáš Moravec, Matěj Al-Ali, Greg Pope, Veronika Vlková a Kateřina Koutná and Nils Henrik Asheim.
Further information on individual projects and artists participating in the Norwegian section of the Festivals of Live Cinema programme can soon be found in a separate section of our website.
