Katarína Gatialová (b. Prievidza, Slovakia) graduated in art history from the Faculty of Philosophy of Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia. She is an independent curator, graphic designer, occasional code artist and head of the Department of Digitisation and New Media at the National Museum in Prague, Czech Republic. She lectures at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design Bratislava, is part of live-coding collective Kolektiv, and as curator participates on the exhibition spaces Vitrína Deniska in Olomouc, Czech Republic and +-0 Gallery in Žilina, Slovakia.
She works and lives in Prague.
She is a curator of Martin Blažíček’s exhibition in Vitrína Deniska Gradient.
She took part in the round table Error Establishing a Database Connection, which was focused on specific questions of distribution, archiving and documentation of live-cinema works and “similar” forms of the moving image.
