This year there will be a new program section: Aport Animation. Its aim is a systematic presentation of the activities of other festivals (Fest Anča, Kesckemét), of original projects (Anna Pankiewicz), or of hardly classifiable works balancing on the edge of animation (computer games, space visualization etc.). Aport Animation gives space for mapping the work of artists introduced by PAF in previous years − in another nexus with other projects (Floex, Michal Pěchouček, Martin Blažíček).
This section includes the Czech premiere of the Irish film, The Secret of Kells; last year (in its postproduction phase) it was presented at PAF by its director Tomm Moore and this year it has collected prestigious awards all over the world. A selection of Slovakian animation from recent years will be introduced by the Fest Anča organizers. Hungarian animation will be represented by films which were awarded prizes this year by international juries at the Kesckemét Animation Film Festival. Polish animator Anna Pankiewicz will personally introduce her semifinished film. The new computer game Machinarium, produced by Amanita Design studio, will be presented by its soundtrack creator, the musician Tomáš Dvořák (Floex), who also composed the soundtrack for Samorst, the previous Amanita Design game. In the late night hours, under the pseudonym 'Floex', he will reveal another of his numerous activities by being the DJin the Metro club, and at the end of the festival he will perform alongside visual artist and individualistic musician, Igor Korpaczewki. Another notable Czech artist Michal Pěchouček, who in the past participated on the curatorship of the initial year of Other Visions competition, will this year at PAF christen his monograph DVD Pater Noster Video Stories. PAF visitors will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the work of TOY_BOX, the author of comics and scenographer, on more levels. Besides the final festival performance, she will present her comics work in the Gallery U Mloka, and with her colleagues from the Suck My DIY group she will lead a workshop of screen printing. During the course of the festival the interactive video installation, Swing (1) by Martin Blažíček will be reflecting the montage methods of several of this and previous years' guests at our festival.
