A screening of a series of the Other Visions SK 2019 as well as an announcement of the winner will take place on 26 February at 8pm in A4 – Space for Contemporary Culture in Bratislava in cooperation with PAF, Kinečko and 4 ŽIVLY.
The competition is dedicated to making contemporary Slovak audiovisual work, bordering on animation, experimental film and videoart, accessible and more open.
Six short works were selected by the visual artist Jaroslav Kyša, who wrote about his selection: “In all the works we can see a human body, its individual parts – fragments or at least a trace of past human activity. It is as if they were looking for a place of an individual – a subject – a body in the current state of the world, drowned in economic, ecological and post-truth problems.”
The winner will be chosen by an expert jury composed of Ivana Sujová, Saša Gabrižová and Braňo Matis.
