20:00 | THURSDAY 6. 12. 2012 | Theatre K3

live AV performance

Jonny Fox, aka Aches, has been living and producing in Bratislava for many years.. Frenetically pulsating beats, melancholic guitars and blurred, deformed vocals are followed by sound artefacts – the remains of Johnny's interest in soundart. Aches creates unique intimate textures which work not only on his debut Glass Lip LP, but also at his concert performances.

presentation

This year's theme – Urbanism Animated – was an impulse for the author to decompose chronological phases of his diploma thesis I'm Because My Father Had an Orgasm (the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, 2012) into a completely new structure of perception. The author formulates the exhibition of an abstract painting to visitors through video. By means of cut and film montage, the real form of painting is absolutely under his control.

concert

Among other things, Stroon, aka Dalibor Kocián, is known from the Cluster and Veni ensembles, which deal with interpretations of the works of contemporary composers of minimal music, such as Steve Reich and Terry Riley. His EP Triple Farewell (2012) demonstrates that he has made good use of his hard-won experience. He patiently layers motifs that are constructed on the confrontation between the organic sound of a vibraphone and the coldness of keys and percussive algorithms.

► APORT ANIMATION
