The Friday programme was opened by Jaimie Cifuent's shadow theatre called Pipo's Trip. The Colombian Animation started at 11:00 am in Theatre K3. After the performance, there was a workshop in which the spectators could try marionette controlling.
At 12:30 pm, the first part of the documentary film Perpetuum Mobile was screened. The documentary film explores animation as a creative tool. This particular one, as well as all the other parts, was presented by Cecilia Traslaviña from Bogota University.
The series of experimental films of the Slovak magazine Kinečko was accompanied by a presentation of the magazine. The Cross-Cuts in Experiment by Kinečko could be seen at 1:00 pm in Theatre K3.
An hour later, there was a presentation of ASAF – Association of Animated Film, which was founded in 2012 and whose goal is to build on the qualitative tradition of animated film. The presentation took place in the presence of Martin Vandas.
From 3:30 pm, there was a presentation called The PLEVEL Gallery Legend in the Congregation Hall. In the two-part presentation, Petr Hošek introduced the Internet gallery as well as the artists' life on social networks.
In the first block of the film screenings Buenos Aires presente, Pablo Mazzolo presented a retrospection of his films. After that, he also covered the topic of perception in the Film Auditorium at 4:00 pm.
Petr Ingerle, the curator, presented his films within his lecture called Brno Devětsil: Multimedia Overlaps of the Artistic Avant-Garde in Theatre K3 at 4:30 pm.
At the same time in Corpus Christi Chapel, a screening accompanied by the exhibition Ways of Something I. took place. At 5:30, there was a workshop of Kolektiv in Atrium. The Coding Laboratory was opened for PAF guests who had their own laptops and sound or image codes of their choice in the software.
At 6:00 pm, there was a panel discussion on alternatives of Colombian animation in Europe called Beyond Animation. It took place in the Film Auditorium. Camilo Colmenares and Diana Menestrey discussed the topic of local traditional narrative animation. At 6:00 pm, the screening of ten selected Czech films – Other Visions 2014 took place in Theatre K3 in the presence of Marika Kupková, the curator.
The presentation of artists Rebecca Salvadori (IT) & Lucy Railton (GB) took place in the Film Auditorium in the evening. The artists share their fascination by prevention of synchronicity between forms, in this particular case between image and sound.
Ryoko Akama (JP) & David Ferrando Giraut (ES) presented their work which combines the aesthetics of silence, time and space. They did so in the Film Auditorium within a presentation that started at 7:30 pm.
From 7:30 pm in the Corpus Christi Chapel, Miloš Henkrich presented the 55th annual year of Brno 16 and showed seven short animated films that had been a part of the last festival. An hour later, Nicholas O'Brien screened not only amusing and funny videos – Not Always Funny. The topics of this screening were 'fun' and 'humour'. At the same time, you could see the screening accompanied by a lecture called Context of Colombian Animation. It took place in the Congregation Hall.
After 10:00 pm, the section Buenos Aires pefor(m)s presented five live screenings of found film footage. Homo Felix: Czech-Japanese Block presented the selection of best animated films by students of FAMU, VŠUP and UTB. For comparison, it also offered some films from the Tokyo University of Arts. At 11:00 pm, the music programme started. Violoncellist Kateřina Koutná accompanied by an artist Anna Balážová presented their ambient music project called Makak. Mysterious Presages of León Prozak, which brought impressive images of the world performed by several Colombian animators, then followed. The evening was closed by Dné & DJ Biomat in Café Tungsram Transit premises.
