PAF IN SUMMER
During June and July PAF appears in several towns participating in one-day as well as few-day events, parties, concerts, festivals: Břeclav (Piksla), Luhačovice (Vincent), Žilina (Fest Anča), Uherské Hradiště (Summer Film School) ... and for August an event with Čestmír form Brno Tungsram Café is being planned.
The first this year's PAF project is Břeclav concert of young glitch-hop and post-dubstep Czechoslovak artists Pjoni & Ink Midget whose debut album was this year produced by PAF in collaboration with independent Slovak label Exitab and newly established Czech label F341. The duo from Bratislava and their concerts refreshed by spontaneous improvisation as well as extreme sensitivity known from Ben Frost are visually accompanied by VJ Kolouch (MidiLidi). Pjoni & Ink Midget, VJ Kolouch and DJ Fool meet in Břeclav Piksla club on the 24th of June, 8 pm.
Right the other day PAF is moved to Luhačovice. The second year of three-day multi genre festival Luhovaný Vincent, which tries to offer young attractive arts across all genres, takes place in this historical city. "We concentrate not only on film festivals, but we try to penetrate such areas enabling creative mixing of art genres as the Luhačovice festival does. That festival deals especially with theatre, music and literature," the director of the festival Alexander Jančík says about the short preview of the PAF and Other Visions choice that takes place in Luhačovice, 25th of June, 11:30 am.
At the beginning of July the PAF organizers attend the Slovak festival of film animation Fest Anča taking place in Žilina. Jančík describes PAF participation in the Slovak festival: "PAF collaborates with several associated festivals and we are going to present our festival at one of them at the beginning of July. We are going to introduce Other Visions competition section which takes place on the 1st of July. The popular format Pecha Kucha takes place in Žilina on the 2nd of July".
The summer programme continuously continues by the presentation at the festival entitled Svátek bláznů that concentrates especially on the alternative theatre in Veselí nad Moravou (16th of July) and four-day screening and programme at the Summer Film School in Uherské Hradiště.
