It has become the rule that we can expect every new piece from the Pixar studio to be successful. At the present time, after the 10th anniversary title, it is possible to say without blushing that the term failure is a dark horse in Emeryville's studio.

In the newest work the authors took the plunge in telling the story of a grumpy old man. His aversion to life gradually disappears as he has a number of adventures after setting out on a journey with a little boy scout.

While with every film the technological aspects of animation are getting better, Pixar does not build the basis of their stories on it. Even though in their 10th film the authors from Pixar rely on dynamic action and a bunch of jokes, in the background there are the supporting topics of old age, lack of parents' understanding and, last but not least, the topic of death.

The film Up was a hot topic of conversation immediately after its opening night and there are high expectations of what Pixar will come up with next.
