This year’s PAF programme will offer a number of unique performances which are somewhere between concerts, spatial installations and live work with the moving image. Part of the programme are Czech premiere performances by TCF (NO), Blue Daisy (GB), Lotic (US) and Takashi Makino (JP).
The opening evening of the festival on Thursday December 3rd will start in the Corpus Christi Chapel with the concert of a Norwegian artist Lars Holdhus aka TCF with his quadraphonic composition 40 FC 4A 83 F9 BD A8 30 3F F2 33 C3 0B 5E 34 50 04 9C D9 4C 93 59 BE 6D 2E 36 D6 B3 9A D7 34 39.
On Friday December 4th the cooperation between British filmmaker Greg Pope and the musical project of Veronika Vlková and Kateřina Koutná, Salvia, will culminate in the cinematographic performance Stone Horizon.
Broader forms of working with the concert medium will then be explored by the Berlin club chameleon Lotic and the Czech artist Michal Pustějovský.
The performance Space Noise 3D performed by the Japanese artist Takashi Makinois based on blending of 16mm film timage and a digital image along with intense sonic noise.
The Bristol producer Vessel, who updates the legacy of the industrial and agressive forms of electronic music on his record, will perform in the Theatre of music in a mutual performance with the Portuguese film-maker Pedro Maia.
A Czech artist with firm roots in sound art, Stanislav Abrahám, will then introduce his last album, Shapescapes, which was created as a combination of synthetic sounds and field recordings.
On Sunday December 6th the Czech premiere of the audiovisual project PLAIN will be presented live. Its creators Jonatán Pastirčák and the visual artist Ján Sičko will create an electro-acoustic spatial landscape created in real time.
The end of the festival will belong to the British melancholic Kwesi Darko. In his project Blue Daisy, the London based musician Darko oscillates between hip-hop, ambient, rock and blues. He will present his latest record Darker Than Blue which has been well received by critics and audiences.
