She graduated from English philology (2010), Film studies and Communication studies (2014) at Palacký University in Olomouc; now she is a postgraduate student at the Department of Art Education, inter-media atelier at this university. Within her long-term research and curatorial activities she focuses on communication and interpretation strategies of the internet art, emphasizing the contemporary Czech and international net art and its overlaps.
Besides internet and post-internet art she specializes in history and theory of moving image and animation in a broad sense, especially in relation to either digital art or a spectator, she also deals with history of television and television genres, new media and visual communication. She regularly publishes her theoretical and critical outcomes within the internet platforms, professional periodicals and conferences. She works at the Festival of Film Animation from 2009 as a translator, from 2012 as a programme manager and from 2013 as a head media manager. She is a curator of Screen Saver Gallery (from its origin in March 2013), as well as an editor of the section of 25fps film magazine focusing on experimental film, new media and visual arts (from 2011; 2009–2011 she was an editor of the section focusing on television forms). Under the pseudonym (c) merry she is known as an active internet and conceptual artist.
