The celebrities of Madagascar are back: the lion, the zebra, the giraffe and the hippo! After their adventures in the wild, they board a plane piloted by penguins which is to take them back to the New York zoo.
However, there are flight complications and the protagonists are forced to take a layover in Africa, and only there, in the sheer wilderness of the black continent are the pasts and the desires of the protagonists revealed – the journey of Alex the lion to civilization and the dream fulfilled by the Marty the zebra. The minor characters, the penguins have already captivated audiences in part one so the filmmakers decided to grant them more space. That is why they can entertain us in their conflict with the monkeys, where they represent a parallel to the quarrel of businessmen and trade unionists.
Most of the original team have come together to work on Madagascar 2 and naturally, both the appearance and means of animation of the characters have remained the same as in part one. However, the principle of the dialogues has improved significantly; adult viewers will not be bored. Let us tune into the wave of new adventures...
