Barbora Kleinhamplová (b. 1984, Liberec) deals with the topics that help to form our idea of what the “society” actually is – e.g. manipulation, debt, work, tiredness and sleep deprivation. She likes to work in cooperation with other artists and theorists. She mostly creates performances, videos and installations. Kleinhamplová graduated from the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague – FAMU (2008) and later also from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (2012). In 2014 she won the Award of the Czech Centres at StartPoint, Prague and in Other Visions competition section at PAF, Olomouc. Last year she became a laureate of Jindřich Chlupecký Award.
She lives and works in Prague.
For the Festivals of Live Cinema project, she gave a lecture on her work together with curator Karina Kottová.
