Jiří Neděla was born in 1982 and graduated from Czech philology – Film Studies, Philosophical Faculty of Palacký University, Olomouc (2002–2009) with the thesis named The Principle of Surrealism in the Film Work of Jan Švankmajer. Concerning his professional activities he focuses on experimental and avant-garde film, video art and animation techniques intended for education – he performs all of them both in form of occasional lectures and as a programme manager at the Festival of Film Animation. He is also a postgraduate student at the Faculty of Education, Palacký University, Olomouc (Art Education). He is a member of Pastiche Filmz association within which he works as a programme manager of Cinestop competition. He has published in 25fps and Cinepur magazines. He is interested amateur film; his activities include script writing and making short animated films. He is an employee of E U F O R A L L non-profit organisation which is focused on implementation of educational programmes.
