22:30 | SATURDAY 8. 12. 2012 | Corpus Christi Chapel
The concert directed by the Slovak musician and producer Ink Midget, who will introduce his debut EP Re-Leave, followed by live set of the Finnish sound artist Vladislav Delay, who will introduce his new album Kuopio. Both concerts will take place inside a light projection situation prepared by the Czech artist SHG.
The moving image in connection with sound (music) appears in traditional film and artistic operations, and also in those environments which are not easily classified as variations of either cinema or gallery. The building of Konvikt, which was originally a Jewish synagogue, was rebuilt into a chapel of the Jesuit boarding school in the 15th century and during the 20th century served as a warehouse of military material, will become part of an audio-visual event for one night. The duration of this event is limited by the beginning and the end of two music performances set within the light projection.
Vladislav Delay, one of the artistic pseudonyms and personified projects of the Finnish artist Sasu Ripatti, will introduce his new album Kuopio, which was released at the end of November. Typical features of Ripatti's production are various positions in electronic music and jazz and their diversity from house music to academic ambient and jazz arrangements. Ripatti's initial musical experience was playing drums, something he has in common with a generation of younger Slovak musicians and producer Adam Matej. Adam, under the pseudonym of Ink Midget, is one of the founding members of the Slovak electronic and dance scene and he will introduce his debut EP Re-Leave in Olomouc.
The concert at PAF follows the sound performances that we try to dramaturgically identify with the premises of the presentation. The light projection in the Corpus Christi Chapel will be made by Petr Krejčík aka SHQ.
