What from the programme can we recommended for kids especially?
The screening of films especially suitable for children will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Konvikt, at 9:30 am on both days. It will include Břetislav Pojar’s puppet film The Garden from Jiří Trnka’s book of the same name, as well as a block of animated films for children, Animated Shorts II, made by students and graduates from Czech art schools.
Children are also encouraged to participate in workshops.
It is a workshop of animation during which, children work with Plasticine figures they have made. Together with the instructor Pavla Baštanová, the young animators will make up a short story which they will then animate by using stop motion animation. The completed film, accompanied by sound, will be sent to the children’s parents via e-mail.
The two-day animation workshop with Edita Plicková will be dedicated to in-betweening (drawing of individual frames) of characters in classical animated film. The workshop is intended for children older than 9, their older siblings, parents and grandparents). It is divided into two days – Saturday and Sudnay, and will last around tree hours each day – depending on the energy of its participants.
You can discover more about the workshop in this article.
Accreditation for children is 60 CZK for each programme block, or you can use one-day festival pass for 250 (200 in advance sell). Discover more in accreditation section on our web.
