Other Visions 2014 finalist Martina Holá will present her Liberated Theatre experimental scene installation at Vitrína Deniska on Monday 24th of October 2016.
Martina Holá graduated from the Studio of Intermedia (supervised by Jiří Příhoda) at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts in 2013. She works with the moving image and with drawings and installations, exploring various notion of time and space. The use of abstract patterns, the simplicity of shapes, the rhythmical repetition of movement, and the well-arranged composition are all quite typical of her work.
The vertical installation of the model of the experimental scene of the Liberated Theatre (Osvobozené divadlo) is a model of the unbuilt building by the architect Josef Chochola. The symbolic model refers to the world of ideas and points to its prototype which, in reality, never existed. Liberated words, detached forms, invisible figures made vivid by bright objects; the flashing light transmits a beam of light over great distances, distances, through mass and forgetfulness.
The opening was be followed by a presentation of the artist’s work.
