Film and food – two languages that use the same grammar. Thanks to the magazine Kinečko, in March the Austrian experimental filmmaker Peter Kubelka will visit Bratislava. He prepared a three-day programme for the cinema Kino Mladosť that will include film screenings and a performative lecture on food.
The Austrian experimental filmmaker, who in his seven films created between 1956 and 2003 addresses questions on the origins, material, rhythm and expression of film and who became the PAF Cult personality of 2008, will take part in the following events in Bratislava:

6/3 20:00 The Language of Film – Peter Kubelka will screen and analyse the films UNSERE AFRIKAREISE, ADEBAR, SCHWECHATER, ARNULF RAINER, ANTIPHON.
16/3 20:00 The Language of Food - Cooking as the Origin of Art. A lecture and a performance in one: Kubelka sees cooking as performative art and prehistorical sculpture of humanity, the origin of culture and the mother of all art.
